Where your memories are our business

Archiving details

Got some old VHS tapes that you want on DVD? Here's what we do and how it works:

TAPES YOU MAY OWN

  - Weddings, showers

  - Family Vacations

  - School Plays

  - Baby Events (baptism, etc.)

  - Sporting Events (Pee Wee Football, Youth Soccer, Little League, etc.)
  - Movies, Professional Sports (NFL, NBA, NHL, etc.)

FAST FACTS

  - Storage: You can fit nearly six of video on a DVD.

  - Chapters: Your DVD comes with chapters set for every five minutes.

  - Menus: Very simple menu. Pop in your DVD, one item comes up and click on that to start your home movie.

  - What You Get: A DVD with a professional label in a jewel case that completely and digitally matches your original VHS tape. No editing, one simple menu with chapters and you're off.

  - Price: Just $12 per tape or DVD.

ADVANTAGES

  - Quality: Every time you watch a VHS tape, it degrades. VHS tapes use a magnetic field that degenerates with every watching. It also degenerates if you don't watch, just not as quickly. That means the longer that time passes (and the more precious those videos become) the more they degenerate in quality. This is something you will notice. And once it degenerates, there is no way to recover the lost quality. However, by recording to a DVD, you get to keep your memories at the same viewing quality forever.

  - Access: With chapters set for every five minutes, you can find a location on a DVD much quicker than having to fast-forward through a VHS tape.
