GLOSSARY OF TERMS

CAPTURING - The act of recording video onto a computer hard drive. This phase includes positioning and setting up the camera, loading the video onto the hard drive and saving it.

EDITING - This phase includes adding music and/or titling, the removal of miscellaneous footage and export of individual chapters as MPEGs for DVDs. The most creative part of the process, this is the most time-consuming phase of any project.

AUTHORING - The act of designing a DVD. This phase includes the installation of buttons, positioning of chapters, titles and/or music.

TESTING - The final stage of the project includes proofing and inspection.

MAILED - When you see a date in this section, that's when your project has been sent.
